Our projects
Getting people online, and keeping them connected.
Less lonely, more connected.
This project helps people new to digital use technology to connect with people and organisations, and tackles isolation in older people.
In our pilot survey of 6 learners, all 6 said they felt less lonely and strongly agreed the training helped them connect with family. The group bonded through their own WhatsApp chat.

Why it matters
Lloyds Bank Consumer Digital Index, 2018:

The Age UK pilot
From December 2020, our pilot with Age UK turned a group of nervous beginners, average age 70, into confident learners. They now create and share files, download apps, spot scams, and protect themselves with good passwords, anti-virus, phishing reports and blocking. Every learner agreed the training reduced their loneliness and improved their confidence.
In Doncaster, 38,994 people (13.1%) are over 64.
Get involved
